Born in South Africa and a resident of North Vancouver since 2005, Margot studied art at the Johannes Carinus Art Centre in Grahamstown and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Exhibitions in South Africa include the Eastern Province Fine Arts Society, Port Elizabeth Gallery and the Grahamstown National Festival for the Arts.
Career highlights include teaching high school art at Dale College. A director at Fairhaven Industries Ltd., designing and producing miniature replicas of historic homes. Featured in Eastern Province Herald, Leisure magazine, Port Elizabeth Express newspaper and the Personality magazine. In 2007 she founded a ceramic sculpting company, Earthware Africa.
